Helped with:

  • Food Access = 16

    • Ride to the food pantry

    • Ride to the grocery store

    • SNAP / food stamp benefits

  • Help completing initial application/initial interview/ sending required documents

    • Providing volunteer/work readiness opportunities; fulfilling JFS requirements

  • Employment/Education = 8 people helped

    • - Remove barriers school attendance: uniforms / enrolment paperwork - Find jobs / application / resume help = 2 - Ride to job interview / job programs / resources for bus passes - Remove barriers to get: ID / birth certificate / social security document - College Enrolment

  • Medical /Dental / Behavioral Health / Agencies / Other Programs = 2 people helped

    • - Behavioral Health Access - Dental

  • Housing: = 4 people helped

    • - Resources for utility / deposit assistance - Help homeless look for housing / complete applications - Eviction/ eviction prevention

  • New Allies = 1 people connected

    • - Referred from another agency - Self-referred

With kids: 7

Right now I see a reoccurring need for:

  1. Hygiene items, toilet paper, feminine protection products

  2. Diapers (any sizes)

  3. Home cleaning supplies, laundry soap

  4. Pest control (traps or poison for mice, roaches or bed bugs)

  5. Space heaters

  6. Blankets, pillows and foam mats(or other easily transported alternatives to a mattress)

  7. Bus pass cards, gas cards

  8. Jobs!!! (I have 6 people that want and need to work.)

  9. Housing (Help paying a security deposit, apartments under $400 a month, help people to apply for subsidized housing)

  10. Vehicle donations

  11. Pledges to cover 1 or more months of car insurance
