March 2018 - We Helped 37 People!

Helped with:

  • Taxes – 4 people

  • Food Pantry – 7 people / 4 different pantries

  • Utilities – 2 people 1 person utilities back on, 1 person on pipp

  • Housing – 2 people

  • Legal- 2 people

  • JFS – 5 people ..( 2 people food stamp applications,1 person medicaid only application, 1 person completed required (24 hours per month of job readiness or volunteer hours for food stamps), 1 person began receiving unemployment benefits and maintained requirements. )

  • Physical / Behavioral Health –3 people ... (1 Person began utilizing a primary care doctor for the first time in 13 years, 1 person completed enrolment for mental health services and case management, 1 person began addiction treatment. )

  • Social Security – 1 person ... (Initial application for disability that was completed in December 2017 got approved.)

  • Education- 2 people ... (1 Completed FASFA, 1 contact student loans / payment plan / out of default)

  • Employment – 4 people ... (3 people ride to interview, 1 complete apps / submit resume)

  • Other – 5 people

    Age Demographics:

    18 - 24: 8

    25 - 54: 19

    >55: 10

    With kids: 14

    Right now I see a reoccuring need for:

    1. Hygiene items, toilet paper, feminine protection products

    2. Diapers (any sizes)

    3. Home cleaning supplies, laundry soap

    4. Pest control (traps or poison for mice, roaches or bed bugs)

    5. Space heaters

    6. Blankets, pillows and foam mats(or other easily transported alternatives to a mattress)

    7. Bus pass cards, gas cards

    8. Jobs!!! (I have 6 people that want and need to work.)

    9. Housing (Help paying a security deposit, apartments under $400 a month, help people to apply for subsidized housing)

    10. Vehicle donations

    11. Pledges to cover 1 or more months of car insurance
