Helped with:

  • Food Access: = 15

    • Ride to the food pantry = 9

    • Ride to the grocery store = 3

    • Deliver Emergency Food = 1

    • SNAP / food stamp benefits = 5

      • Initial application/initial interview/ sending required documents = 2

      • Follow up JFS contact/reapplication/problem solving/lost card = 1

      • Providing volunteer/work readiness opportunities; fulfilling JFS requirements = 2

  • Education / Employment: = 4

  • - Help getting school supplies / uniforms / enrollment paper work = 1
    - Resolving defaulted student loans / reentering college = 1
    - Help creating resume / finding open job positions / completing electronic applications = 1
    - Ride to job interview / connection to resources for bus passes = 3
    - Remove barriers / get ID = 2

  • Housing: = 2

  • - Resources for furniture / appliance / improvements / energy saving = 2

  • Medical Health /Dental / Behavioral Health: = 3

  • - Insurance issues = 1
    - Find / Enroll with providers = 1
    - Transportation to UC Psych = 1
    - Transportation to appointments = 1

  • Legal: = 2

  • (criminal charges, warrants, probation, incarceration, reentry, civil suits, evictions, domestic, child custody/visitation/support, debt, expungement)
    - Ride / accompaniment to court / probation / other legal = 1
    - Help mantaining responsibilities while incarcerated = 1

    Age demographics:

    18 - 24: 3

    25 - 54: 6

    >55: 7

    With kids: 10

    Right now I see a reoccuring need for:

    1. Hygiene items, toilet paper, feminine protection products

    2. Diapers (any sizes)

    3. Home cleaning supplies, laundry soap

    4. Pest control (traps or poison for mice, roaches or bed bugs)

    5. Space heaters

    6. Blankets, pillows and foam mats(or other easily transported alternatives to a mattress)

    7. Bus pass cards, gas cards

    8. Jobs!!! (I have 6 people that want and need to work.)

    9. Housing (Help paying a security deposit, apartments under $400 a month, help people to apply for subsidized housing)

    10. Vehicle donations

    11. Pledges to cover 1 or more months of car insurance
